One of my fondest memories from primary school was sampling the delicious treats that the country mums used to bring to class for their kids' birthdays.
Ange, one of my work colleagues, needed a sweet treat to send along with her youngest for her 5th birthday. Ange asked me to help her out, and of course I was only too happy to bake some cupcakes for her.
We kept it simple with some vanilla bean cupcakes topped with vanilla buttercream. I prettied them up with some fondant shapes and flowers.
