A sad note

Posted by kel @ sweet treats at 10:03 AM
I was shocked and saddened to hear the news during the week that one of my lovely customers was tragically killed in a car accident on the 15th of January.

Jess was loved by so many people, and she always had the ability to see the positives in any situation.

Jess was only 32, and leaves behind her beloved husband Rob.

Rest in peace, sweetheart.

My friend and I were recently talking about the ubiquitousness of technology in our daily lives. Reading this post makes me think back to that discussion we had, and just how inseparable from electronics we have all become.

I don't mean this in a bad way, of course! Ethical concerns aside... I just hope that as technology further innovates, the possibility of copying our memories onto a digital medium becomes a true reality. It's a fantasy that I dream about all the time.
